Course objectives and Learning Outcomes

  • At the end of this course, the participants should be confident and competent to:
  • Prepare a GHG inventory that represents a true and fair account of their emissions, through the use of standardized approaches and principles.
  • Increase consistency and transparency in GHG accounting and reporting among various companies and GHG programs.
  • Understand different methods of reducing the costs of compiling a GHG inventory.
  • Understand the relevant information that can be used to build an effective strategy to manage and reduce GHG emissions.
  • Acquire information that facilitates participation in voluntary and mandatory GHG programs.
  • Understand how to assess GHG data quality as well as the different data quality indicators that are available to them.
  • Participants will gain a thorough knowledge of the different options that are available to calculate the GHG data.
